The shooting occurred just before 10 a.m. Saturday at Maple and Kossuth streets, according to city spokesman Av Harris.
The male victim fell into the Maple Deli and Mini Mart on the corner after he was shot, Harris said. "He was deceased when first responders arrived on scene," he said.
The victim's name was not released because the fatal shooting remained under investigation early Saturday afternoon, Harris said.
This is the 23rd homicide of the year in Bridgeport.
