Man Dead, Two Officers Injured After Shooting In Downtown Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A man is dead and two police officers were injured in a shooting late Tuesday afternoon in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Post said.  

The shooting occurred after officers pulled over a car as part of a stolen vehicle investigation on Park Avenue at 5 p.m., the Post said.

State Police detectives are investigating the Bridgeport Police officer-involved shooting, state police said via Twitter. The incident involves "life-threatening injuries on Park Ave.," state police said via Twitter. There was no remaining threat to the public Tuesday evening.
