Icy Conditions Cause Accidents, Travel Delays In Fairfield County

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Slippery road conditions have caused accidents and travel delays throughout Fairfield County on Tuesday morning, according to CT Post.

Accident-related delays were reported on the Merritt Parkway and the Route 8 and Route 25 junction in Bridgeport. Another incident in the southbound lane of Interstate 95 in Stamford closed two lanes between exits 9 and 10 just before 9 a.m., CT Post reported.

Another accident on Route 8 in Shelton has slowed traffic as well, CT Post said.
