BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The death of a male infant who was unresponsive at the Greene Homes in Bridgeport has been ruled a homicide, police said in a statement late Thursday.
At 11:15 a.m. Monday, April 24, Bridgeport police responded to Building 3 of the Greene Homes on a report of an unresponsive baby, Capt. Brian Fitzgerald said in a statement last month.
The infant was transported by medics to Bridgeport Hospital, then transferred to Yale-New Haven Hospital for advanced care, Fitzgerald said. The baby died on Tuesday, April 25.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner performed an autopsy and classified the baby's death as a homicide, he said.
