Bridgeport Says Gathering Of Vibes Owes Nearly $775K For Police Overtime

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Gathering of the Vibes summer weekend music festival organizer, Ken Hays, owes the city $772,725 in police overtime, according to the Connecticut Post.

Mayor Joe Ganim has sent a more than $700,000 bill to the organizer of the Gathering of the Vibes for police overtime for 2013 to 2015.

Mayor Joe Ganim says the money is owed for the years 2013 to 2015 for the popular weekend-long music event that draws thousands of spectators to Seaside Park, said the Connecticut Post.

In November, Hays canceled the 2016 event, but the city still has a $300,000 security deposit, added the Connecticut Post.
