Bridgeport Police Seek Robber Who Shot Store Owner In His Foot

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A business owner was shot in the foot during a robbery of his store Monday night on Boston Avenue, Bridgeport police said.

Officer Albert Palatiello responded to Hair Plus at 161 Boston Ave. at 6:26 p.m. Monday on a report of a robbery and a gunshot victim. Sgt. Vincent Verrillo and Detectives John Tenn also responded.

Officers learned that a man entered the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money, police said. He took an undetermined amount of cash and a customer’s handbag during the robbery, police said.

During the robbery, the store owner, Se Jong Chung, 55, was shot in the foot, police said.
