BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport police are investigating the suspected suicide of an officer in Seaside Park on Monday morning, according to the Connecticut Post.
There was a large police presence at the park as officers investigated "an incident at that location," police said.
The unresponsive officer was found in a silver car at the park, and yellow police tape was wound around the area near the vehicle, according to the Connecticut Post.
Police said the officer's name would not be released until the family is notified, according to the Post.
Over 20 patrol cars and an ambulance responded to the scene, which was cleared by 11 a.m., the Post said.
No further information had been released by Monday afternoon.
