Larry “Love” Tinsley was charged with conspiracy to commit second-degree arson and held on $250,000 bond, the Post said.
Tinsley told police he was paid to pour gas onto Jason Nieves, but said the man who paid him, Anthony “Arab” Reeves, set the fire, the Post said.
Reeves has not been charged in the death, but police told the Post that he is a suspect.

Jason Nieves, 28, of 455 Trumbull Ave., Bridgeport, was found dead in the passenger seat of the stolen SUV after the fire was extinguished, police said.
Bridgeport firefighters arrived at the burning car at Houston and Dodd avenues just before 10 p.m. June 7 and made the grisly discovery, police said.

Witnesses later told police that the shooting occurred at about 3 p.m., and that a silver car drove off after the shots were fired, the Post said.
About four hours later, two men and the silver car returned to the scene, and a few minutes later the SUV was set on fire, the Post said.
There have been 18 homicides this year in Bridgeport.
