Bridgeport Man Taken Into Custody For Punching Man, Stealing $3.5K Chain Near Beach, Police Say

Police have taken a 20-year-old man with an active warrant into custody after he allegedly assaulted a male in a parking lot back in April.

Khalil Abdul-Hakeem, 20, of Bridgeport faces multiple charges, including robbery, assault and threatening. 

On Sunday, April 29 of this year, Abdul-Hakeem allegedly punched a male in a parking lot across from Gulf Beach in Milford. He then proceeded to steal a gold chain, worth approximately $3,500, from the victim’s neck, according to Milford Police.

Abdul-Hakeem was taken into police custody on Wednesday, Nov. 21. He has a scheduled court date of Tuesday, Dec. 18.
