BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A Bridgeport man was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexually assaulting a Sacred Heart University student at his Scofield Avenue home on March 30, police said.
Alfonso Reid, 39, was taken into custody without incident at his home at about 6:30 a.m., police said. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault and was held on $750,000 bond, police said.
Reid is alleged to have taken the 19-year-old woman to his home, where he sexually assaulted her, according to police.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday, police said.
