Police told the Connecticut Post that they responded to Madison Avenue early Sunday morning on a report of shots fired, and located more than a dozen 9mm shells in front of two businesses. Nobody appeared to have been shot, according to the Connecticut Post.
As officers investigated, they received a call that the shooter was sitting in a black Mercedes nearby, and police surrounded the car, according to the Connecticut Post. Inside they found 44-year-old Michael Stinson, as well as a 9mm handgun that was still warm, the Connecticut Post reported.
Stinson was arrested on a number of charges including criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm unlawful discharged of a firearm, reckless endangerment and possession of a large capacity magazine, according to the Connecticut Post. He was held on a $150,000 bond, the Connecticut Post reported.
Stinson was previously arrested on gun charges and served more than a decade in prison on a manslaughter charge in connection with a shooting death, the Connecticut Post reported.
