Bridgeport Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Maple Street Blaze

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridgeport firefighters quickly extinguished a house fire on Maple Street Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters encountered heavy fire when they arrived at the home on Maple Street.

The firefighters were dispatched to the home shortly 4 p.m. on a report of a house fire. When they arrived, they encountered heavy flames. After a primary search turned up no occupants inside the home, the firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze within 20 minutes.
