Troopers were conducting a motor vehicle enforcement near Exit 2 of Route 8/25 at 5 p.m. Monday when Hector Lebron, 26, of Bridgeport, failed to stop and engaged the trooper in pursuit, state police said.
Two passengers — one of them an infant — were in the gray Infiniti with Lebron at the time, state police said.
The vehicle was stopped and Lebron was arrested, state police said.
He was charged with improper use of plates, failure to display plates, operating without insurance, operating a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, risk of injury to a child, interfering and reckless endangerment.
He was held on $25,000 bond for an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court on Tuesday.
