19-Year-Old Dies After Hit-And-Run By SUV In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A 19-year-old died of his injuries hours after he was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run accident late Wednesday afternoon in Bridgeport, NBC Connecticut said.

Police were searching for the silver SUV that hit Ismael A. Colon, of Bridgeport, at about 5:45 p.m. while he was crossing Washington Avenue near Pequonnock Street, the Connecticut Post said.

Colon was treated at St. Vincent’s Medical Center but died at about 9:30 p.m., the Post said.

Police ask that anyone with information about the driver or the accident to call 203-576-TIPS or 203-576-8477.
