BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Ramonita Tosado Muniz, 76, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, April 28.
Tosado was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, May 1, 1938, to Dolores Caban and Jose Tosado. She was a devout and faithful Catholic. A parishioner of St. Peter Church, she was a member of La Cofradia del Sagrado Corazon, Cursillista, and grupo Carismatico.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Juan Antonio Muniz, Sr.; eight children, Juan A. Muniz, Jr. and wife, Nilda, of Seymour, Conn.; William Muniz and wife, Maria, of Stratford, Conn.; Edwin Muniz of Bridgeport; Rosie Villa and husband, Jose, of Bridgeport; Nancy Muniz of Ansonia, Conn; Robert Muniz and wife, Heidi, of Hawaii; Leticia Bilotta and husband, Robert, of Florida; and David Muniz of Bridgeport; 14 grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, from 5-8 p.m. at Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 695 Colorado Ave., Bridgeport, followed by interment in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield.
