He was born March 10, 1938, to Salvatore and Lucia Amenta Grillo in Tripoli, Libya.
Grillo worked for Avery Abrasives for many years; he also worked for the Town of Fairfield.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; one son, Salvatore (Karen) Grillo; three daughters, Lucy (Arcangelo) Faiella, Maria (Anthony) Castore, and Elizabeth (Rui) Borges; one stepdaughter, Leah Cefaloni; two brothers, Giuseppe and Guido Grillo of Floridia, Sicily; one sister, Angela Calderone of Floridia, Sicily; eight grandchildren; several cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
His first wife, Enza Grillo, and his brother, Luciano Grillo, are deceased.
Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday, at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull.
Interment will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
