BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Michael G. Wojnarski, 58, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, April 26.
Born and raised in Bridgeport, he resided in Fairfield for many years prior to his more recent move to Black Rock. Before his disability, he had been a machine repairman for Covidien Corporation.
He had a real passion for sports, especially basketball and swimming. He truly enjoyed coaching his children with their various teams and spending time outdoors.
In addition to his wife, Ousavady Khantikone Wojnarski, he is survived by his children, Sarah Oppedisano, and her husband, Joseph, of Fairfield; Daniel Wojnarski of Hawaii; Jason Wojnarski of Black Rock; two grandchildren; and one brother, Steve Wojnarski, of Bridgeport
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. All other services will be private.
