BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Laura Dzialo Otzel, 60, of Bridgeport, wife of Michael Otzel, died Sunday, May 24, at St. Vincent's Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Bridgeport, she was a teacher at both St. Mark Elementary School and St. Augustine's. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Ladies Guild and a former CCD teacher.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three children, Michael, Elizabeth and Andrew Otzel, all of Bridgeport; her mother, Cecilia Dzialo of Stratford; a brother of Stratford; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Walter Dzialo.
Friends may call Friday, May 29, from 4-8 p.m. at the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Ave., Bridgeport. Burial will be private. A memorial Mass will take place at a later date.
