She was born in Bridgeport, Conn., to Bernard and Kathleen McBride.She attended St. Augustine School, Lauralton Hall and Central HIgh School.
She was a resident of Fairfield for 35 years before moving to Oronoque Village in Stratford.
She worked as a book keeper at Mohegans in downtown Bridgeport after high school, with a brief job change to Fairfield Lumber, where she met her future husband, Edward Francis Walsh.
She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Kathleen and Don Sajgovic, of Stratford; Patricia and Jeff Lobdell, of Shelton; Ed and Jacqueline Walsh, of Woodbridge; Elizabeth and Matt Stymacks, of Fairfield; and Bob and Sue Walsh, of New Canaan, 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church. Visitation will be at Larson's Funeral home at 8:30 a.m. prior to the Mass.
Burial will be private at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
