BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - John E. Kichinko Sr., of Bridgeport, died on Thursday, May 7. He was 85.
Kichinko was born in Monessen, Pa., on Nov. 14, 1929, to John and Mary Andrekovich Kichinko. He worked for Wonder Bread as a route salesman for more than 40 years.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Dolores; and his sister Mildred Sherwood.
He is survived by his daughter Mary Ellen Recupero and her husband Sam Jr. of Shelton; five grandchildren, Sam Recupero III and his wife Melissa, Ryan Recupero and his wife Michele, Tiffany Recupero and Luis Quiceno, Jennifer Kichinko and Erika Bruneau and her husband James; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Lily, Matthew, Maely, Isabella and Brady; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 12, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., with a service to follow at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
