BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- George Uhelsky, 95, of Bridgeport, died on Sunday, April 5.
He was born March 14, 1920, to Michael and Anna Palinski Uhelsky.
He retired from Bullard Company of Bridgeport after many years of service.
Uhelsky was a member of the Amateur Bowling Tour.
Survivors include his wife, Maggie Pasnick Uhelsky; one son, Bill (Dorothy); two sisters, Annie Kasinskas and Helen Uhelsky; and one brother, Steve Uhelsky.
Four brothers, Michael, John, Andrew, and Joseph; and three sisters, Betty Mitsotakis, Susan Sarella, and Mary Satkowski, are deceased.
Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, at the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
A Panachida memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, and a funeral service will be held 9:15 a.m. Friday, both at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Friday, at St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, 100 St. John’s Drive, Trumbull.
Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Byzantine Catholic Church, 100 St. John's Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611.
