BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Frank Albert Atkinson, a resident of Bridgeport, died Sunday, Feb.7. He was 70.
He was employed by Local 1 Bricklayers Union as a brick mason for fifty years. His spiritual needs were met as a disciple of Faith and Hope Apostolic Church where he served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife Dulcie Harding Atkinson, four sons Miguel S. Atkinson, Trevor, Frank and Wilson Atkinson all of Bridgeport, two brothers, Michael McFarland of Stamford and Basil Atkinson of NY; four sisters, Monica Ferguson of GA, Brenda McFarland of Bridgeport, Cherry Atkinson of Jamaica, W.I. and Sharon Atkinson of NY; six grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his parents, and his daughter Marva A. Anderson
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. at Faith and Hope Apostolic Church, 1475 Noble Ave., Bridgeport with Rev. Jarvis Tracey, officiating.
Interment will take place Friday, Feb. 20 10 a.m. at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends are invited to the viewing Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church.
