BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Donald K. Favereau Sr., 80, of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday, March 4.
Born in Bridgeport, Favereau was a lifelong city resident. He worked for Carpenter Steel for over 25 years until his retirement. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his his wife of 59 years, Marilyn Kelley Favereau; his sons, Donald Favereau Jr. of Bridgeport and Michael Favereau of Ansonia; daughters Laura Favereau of Ansonia; Deborah Carter and her husband, Ron, of Huntersville, North Carolina; and Elizabeth Kavouras and her husband, Pete, of Wolcott; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, David and Ethel Hirshkowitz.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield Center. All other services will be private.
