Jackson was born on February 28, 1934 in Stamford to the late George Jackson and Edith Clinton. She was a graduate of Stamford High School before moving to Bridgeport.
Jackson was a retired worker from the Colonial Company.
She was predeceased by a sister, Constance Thomas, two sons Roy Vincent Jackson and Darryl Alan Jackson; and her lifelong companion George Lee Rucker Sr.
Survivors include two sons David Alexander Jackson Sr. and James Louis Jackson; a daughter Robin Denise Jackson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousins.
Calling hours will on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lester Gee Funeral Home at 1390 Fairfield, Ave. in Bridgeport.
Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Summerfield United Methodist Church, at 110 Clermont Ave. in Bridgeport.
