Andrew G. Wasco, 90, Of Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Andrew G. Wasco, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, May 26. He was 90.

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Andrew and Susan Remak Wasco.

He worked for Singer, Remington and Harvey Hubbell.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the Navy aboard the USS Esperanza. Upon his retirement, he developed his craftsman skills, designing and making WWII replica ship models. An animal lover, Wasco gave much of his time and effort caring for and housing cats of all kinds.

He is survived by sister, Bernadette Wasco of Fairfield; brother George (Madonna) Wasco of Santa Barbara, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport, followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. In abiding with his wishes, calling hours have been omitted.
