Two men in a van filled with tanks of hundreds of galloons of used cooking oil were arrested on larceny charges last weekend when they were spotted acting suspiciously outside a Japanese restaurant in Fairfield, police said.
Officers seized a "tremendous amount of weaponry," including guns, knives and improvised explosive devices when they busted Alexander S. Braverman, 24, at the North Stamford home he shared with his parents, police said. In addition to weapons charges, Braverman was also charged with operating a drug factory in the home, where he was cultivating marijuana plants, police said.
