Traffic Backs Up For Miles As Crash Blocks Lane Of I-95 In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A crash involving two cars was blocking the right lane of northbound I-95 in Bridgeport on Friday afternoon, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.

The crash was between Exits 26 and 27, DOT said. It was reported at about 4:40 p.m.

It was not clear how long it would take to clear the crash scene, DOT said.

The crash is making the Friday evening commute worse, DOT said. Northbound I-95 has over 21 miles of delays, from Exit 8 in Stamford up to Exit 27 in Bridgeport.
