BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Traffic was backing up Wednesday afternoon on I-95 in Bridgeport after an accident in the northbound lanes near Exit 27a, the Connecticut Department of Transportation said.

The accident involving three cars was blocking the right lane at about 3:45 p.m., DOT said.

Traffic was backed up from Exit 27a for Routes 8 And 25 to Exit 25 for State Street/Fairfield Avenue, DOT said.
