SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- An unidentified male teenager was struck and killed by a Metro-North train near the Philipse Manor Station on Monday afternoon in Westchester County, officials said.

The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. Monday near the station on Metro-North's Hudson Line. The train was headed toward Manhattan, according to LoHud.com.

The victim was identified only as a 16-year-old boy from Sleepy Hollow who walked in front of the train, LoHud.com said
