original story: FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — Wednesday's trip home was proving to be a slow one for some Metro-North commuters across Fairfield County.

Metro-North was reporting two problems Wednesday evening:

  • On the New Canaan Branch, delays were reported due to a switch issue near New Canaan.
  • And on the main New Haven Line, delays of 10 to 15 minutes were reported due to a disabled train in the Bronx.

It was not clear when the problems would be cleared.
