Sunny Skies Will Give Way To Rain By Tuesday In Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Following the winter storm over the weekend that left a foot of snow or more on the ground in some towns, warmer temperatures will move into Fairfield County and begin to melt the snow, with some rain in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

Mostly sunny skies are expected through Monday afternoon as high pressure moves across the area with a high near 34. Wind chill values will remain between 25 and 30. Monday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 21.

A warm front associated with an approaching area of low pressure will come through the region early Tuesday morning. Tuesday will see a slight chance of showers after 3 p.m. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 41. Chance of rain is 20 percent. Wind chill values will be between 20 and 30.

There is a chance of rain and snow showers before 1 a.m. Tuesday night, then a chance of snow showers. It will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

The nor’easter brought 16 inches of snow to Norwalk, 16 inches to Darien, 15 inches to Greenwich, 14 inches to Wilton, 9.5 inches to the Bridgeport airport, 11.5 inches to Easton and 10 inches to Ridgefield, reports the National Weather Service.
