Light snow will continue, covering roadways and walkways Friday morning, the weather service warned. I-84, I-95, the Merritt Parkway and Routes 7, 8 and 25 were reporting slower than normal speeds, DOT said.
Slippery conditions and reduced visibility will continue for the Friday morning commute. Drivers are urged to take caution, slow down and leave extra distance between vehicles.
Westbound I-84 in Danbury has reopened after a tractor-trailer jackknifed between Exits 3 and 4 at about 4 a.m. Friday.
Schools in Danbury and Wilton are on two-hour delay on Friday.
Light snow will continue through about 1 p.m. Friday, according to the Weather Service. Less than an inch of snow will accumulate. Temperatures are expected to climb to the upper 30s, with clearing skies by the afternoon.
