The rainy and gloomy conditions will begin to clear the area, but it will remain partly cloudy with a high temperature in the 50s on Friday. But that high came early in the day and temperatures will fall throughout the day to near 40 as gusty winds move into the area.
Overnight lows will fall below freezing and into the 20s, with wind chill values between 20 and 25.
Saturday will be sunny, but significantly cooler with a high of 38 degrees and wind-chill factors could be in the 20s. There is even a chance that snow flurries could fly.
Sunday will be more of the same, with highs barely breaking 40 degrees.
But it won't be a long cold snap. A warming trend will begin Monday and continue throughout the week, with highs approaching 60 by Christmas.
