Rainy Friday May Give Way to Snowy Saturday in Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — More April snow and freezing temperatures are on the way Saturday across Fairfield County. But don't worry, it won't stick very much with only a half-inch predicted, according to the National Weather Service.There's a slight chance of showers Friday, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 50. It will get cold Friday night, with an overnight low near freezing.

Snow is likely before 11a.m. Saturday, then rain likely. It will be a cloudy day, with a high near 42, but wind chills will make it feel closer to freezing. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent, with little or no snow accumulation expected.

There will be more rain into Saturday evening, with snow possible after 9 p.m. The low will drop to about 27 degrees, with wind chills of between 15 and 20. 

The chance of precipitation is 60 percent, with about a half-inch accumulation possible.

With the below freezing temperatures, there is a Freeze Watch in effect from late Saturday through Sunday morning along the coastline, according to the National Weather Service. Expect temperatures in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Bring in any sensitive plants and pets.
