Connecticut and Texas each had a Match 5 Power Play winner, who will receive $2 million.

Also, Connecticut had a $1 million-dollar winner, who matched five numbers. Other states with winners include Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Virginia.

As excited residents head to buy tickets this week, the CT Lottery is reminding customers to play responsibly.

“We encourage players to know their limits, and stay within them,” said CT Lottery’s President and CEO, Anne M. Noble. “When jackpots reach levels in the hundreds of millions of dollars, remember that responsible purchasing is the way to play. Lottery games are fun and entertaining, and it is important that consumers use good judgment.”
