More Than 104,000 Connecticut Residents Enrolled In Obamacare So Far

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Access Health CT has enrolled 104,363 Connecticut individuals in Qualified Health Plans as of Jan. 5.

“As we enter the final weeks of open enrollment we are urging residents to check their coverage and make sure they have everything in place for 2016,” said Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman. “Healthcare is critical to a good quality of life, strong communities, and a competitive workforce. AHCT is ready to assist at the call center, online, in the store, or through our enrollment partners.”

“We are pleased that so many Connecticut residents have chosen to enroll for quality, affordable healthcare coverage this open enrollment (OE) period,” said Acess Health CT CEO Jim Wadleigh.

The open enrollment period ends Jan. 31. Residents can sign up at one of the AHCT enrollment centers or online at www.accesshealthct.com.

Individuals who sign up before before Jan. 15 will have coverage effective Feb. 1. Coverage will go into effect March 1 for individuals enrolling before Jan. 31. 

AHCT is a quasi-public agency created by state legislature per the federal Affordable Care Act. Its mission is to increase the number of insured state residents while promoting health, lower costs and eliminating health disparities.
