Metro-North Adjusts, Adds Trains For New Year's Celebrations

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Metro-North has announced its plans for New Year's Eve and Day, adjusting some schedules, including the New Haven Line, and reiterating that alcohol is banned in stations from noon New Year's Eve until noon New Year's Day.

There will be modified peak schedules, including some consolidations in the morning, and extra outbound service from noon to 4 p.m., and extra inbound service in the late afternoon and early evening for those wanting to experience Times Square.

Once the party ends, there will be overnight trains available so you can get home safely.

Updates schedules can be accessed online here, and Metro-North suggests buying tickets in advance for the holiday, which also can be done online.
