But the storm was far worse in neighboring New York, where the 26.8 inches that fell in Central Park made for New York City's second largest snowstorm. New Jersey was also slammed by the snowstorm.

- Monroe: 21 inches
- Norwalk: 16 inches
- Greenwich: 16 inches
- Darien: 14.5 inches
- Stamford: 14 inches
- Fairfield: 13.5 inches
- Weston: 13 inches
- Wilton: 13 inches
- Bridgeport Airport: 12 inches
- Shelton: 12 inches
- New Canaan: 12 inches
- Easton: 11.5 inches
- Trumbull: 10.5 inches
- Ridgefield: 10 inches
- Danbury: 5 inches
Other areas in Connecticut, mostly along the shoreline, were also hard hit:
- Haddam; 15.5 inches
- Guilford; 16 inches
- Milford; 15.5 inches
- North Haven: 14.4 inches
- West Haven: 11.5 inches
- Hadlyme: 13.5 inches
The storm also slammed New York, where Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency:
- Bronx Zoo: 27.6 inches
- Williamsburg: 29 inches
- Brooklyn: 27 inches
- Hicksville: 29.6 inches
- North Merrick: 25.8 inches
- Massapequa: 25.2 inches
- Bethpage: 23 inches
- Central Park: 26.8 inches
- Lake Carmel: 12 inches
- Putnam Valley: 11 inches
- Brewster: 6 inches
- JFK Airport: 30.5 inches
- La Guardia Airport: 27.9 inches
- Staten Island: 31.3 inches
- Islip Airport: 23.4 inches
- Port Jefferson: 22 inches
- Yonkers: 20.5 inches
- Hastings-On-Hudson: 15 inches
- Armonk: 14.2 inches
- Pelham: 14.2 inches
- White Plains: 13.5 inches
- Yorktown Heights: 11.5 inches
- Croton Falls: 11 inches
- Harrison: 10 inches
But the storm, which moved up the coastline from north to south, was far worse in New Jersey. Here is a selection of snowfall totals:

Sunday will bring much-needed relief to the area with sunny skies and a high temperature of about 32. The wind-chill factor, though, will make it feel like it is the teens.
