A tenth to a half-inch of ice accumulated overnight as a storm streaked across the state.
The freezing rain will turn to plain rain Tuesday morning as temperatures move about the freezing mark, the weather service said.
The storm has left slippery and icy conditions across roadways and walkways early Tuesday, making for a dangerous morning commute.
The precipitation is turning to rain, mainly after 9 a.m. The rain could be heavy at times with areas of fog and a high near 55 degrees. An inch or two of rain could fall.
Rain could continue into Tuesday evening but gradually ending.
The overnight low will drop into the upper 20s as the rain and snow comes to an end.
Wednesday will be partly sunny, with a high near 41.
Minor coastal flooding is also possible at high tide, with some road flooding and splashover in the late afternoon.
