Forecast Brightens For July 4th Holiday Weekend In Bridgeport

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Fairfield County residents aren't likely to see rain and storms but should prepare for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-70s for the long Independence Day holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather will be mostly sunny Friday, with a high near 79 degrees, with many people off work for the federal holiday. The evening will be partly cloudy with a low around 61.

Saturday, Independence Day, will remain sunny with highs around 74, but the evening will be cloudy with a low around 63 degrees. There is a 20 percent of showers.

Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs near 79.
