FBI Charges North Carolina Man With Threatening To Kill Sen. Blumenthal

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The FBI on Tuesday arrested a man from North Carolina who threatened to kill U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal during a call to his Hartford office, according to the Hartford Courant.

While talking to an office intern, the man threatened to "shoot [Blumenthal's] ... brains out" if the senator raised his taxes, said the Hartford Courant.

Rowland Edwin Dodge Jr., 62, of Matthews, N.C., was charged with threatening a federal official, according to the Courant.
