Collin Fletcher, 52, worked with Philip Stewart to sell ecstasy in New York and Connecticut. On two separate occasions, Fletcher sold pills to investigators, the U.S. Attorney said.
On Nov. 18, authorities arrested Fletcher and Stewart after they attempted to sell 10,000 capsules to an undercover officer. Following Fletcher's arrest, authorities found about one kilogram of marijuana in his home, the U.S. Attorney said.
Fletcher, who is a citizen of Jamaica, was deported in 2003 due to a prior conviction. He will face immigration proceedings once his prison term is complete.
Stewart is still awaiting sentencing, the U.S. Attorney said.
