FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Connecticut Department of Transportation has announced that there will be no maintenance or construction activities on major highways over the Christmas and New Year holiday periods.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is putting a halt to construction and maintenance activities on major highways during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
Photo Credit: Jay PolanskyThe dates in which these activities will cease run from Thursday, Dec. 24, at 6 a.m. until Monday, Dec. 28, at 8 p.m., and on Thursday, Dec. 31, at 6 a.m. until Monday, January 4, 2016, until 8 p.m.
Only road work of an emergency nature will be considered during these periods.
