A hazardous weather outlook advisory has been for southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York for late Thursday and into Friday morning.
Visibility of a quarter-mile or less is possible after midnight and through daybreak Friday across the metropolitan New York City area, according to the weather service.
The forecast for Friday calls for mostly sunny skies after 8 a.m. Unseasonably mild temperatures will continue Friday and into the weekend. Highs will be in the upper 50s and even 60 degrees, which are 10 to 20 degrees above normal for this time of year, with record-breaking temperatures possible, the weather service said.
