The award honors the attending physician who best demonstrates the qualities exemplified by St. Vincent de Paul, one who truly lives the mission and values of the Medical Center. Dr. Quan Hong was nominated by two fellow St. Vincent’s employees who both had personal experiences with him as he cared for their family members.
In their nominations, both colleagues cited Quan Hong’s extraordinary care of a patient and family at end of life and commended him for exemplifying the physician/patient relationship and for his dedication to the field of medicine.
A resident of Easton, Quan Hong is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed medical school at Trinity College, University of Dublin, his residency at the Medical College of Virginia Hospital and his fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Quan Hong is director of clinical services for Associated Neurologists of Southern Connecticut, P.C. He is assistant professor at Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, and a consultant in neurology for the Fairfield University athletic department and a member of the Fairfield County Neurology Society.
