Woodman has more than 17 years of experience in the human resources industry. Prior to joining The Watermark, she held a variety of human resources positions in Connecticut and New York before ultimately transitioning into the continuing-care retirement community industry earlier this year.
“We are thrilled to welcome Christine to the team,” said Connie Haworth, executive director at The Watermark at East Hill. “Her extensive experience and forward-thinking approach to HR practices will support our efforts to expand the staff and the services offered at The Watermark at East Hill.”
As human resources director, Woodman’s responsibilities include handling employee relations issues and benefits, and supporting the various management teams at The Watermark. She will also play an active role in the hiring, screening and staffing process for future employees at the community.
“This is my first experience working in a continuing-care retirement community; I haven’t been here long, and I’ve already been blown away by the warm and friendly environment the associates at The Watermark at East Hill create for their residents,” said Woodman. “I look forward to continuing to assist our current staff, and to help the community grow through the addition of employees that strive to create environments where seniors can thrive.”
A native and longtime resident of North Branford, Woodman has a bachelor’s degree in human development and family relations from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in organizational management and human resource development from Manhattanville College. She lives in Bridgeport with her three cats, Bosley, Bailey and Moo.
