The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace.
L'Ambiance Plaza was a 16-story residential project under construction at the corner of Washington Avenue and Coleman Street. On April 23, 1987, 28 workers were crushed to death and others were injured at the site due to faulty lift-slab construction.
The L'Ambiance Plaza collapse was one of the worst disasters in modern Connecticut history.
Every year, organized labor, family members and friends have gathered to remember and pay tribute to the workers who died, the families, the rescue workers and all those who assisted in any way during and after the collapse.
