Billed as a suburban garden, the grounds, at 893 Clinton Avenue, feature a whopping 40,000 flowering spring bulbs from dazzling daffodils to tender tulips.
Free and open to the public until the flowers fade in mid-May, the floral display was created by Colorblends, a wholesale flower bulb firm that renovated the 1903 Colonial Revival mansion on the property, and Dutch designer Jacqueline van der Kloet, who specializes in bulb design.
This weekend, the public is invited to enjoy the work of nine local artists in a pop-up gallery in the home. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 22, view the works of Christopher Harley, Ellen Hoverkamp, Distort, Jahmane West, Liz Squillace, Lizzy Rockwell, Loren Constantini, Looketha, Michael J Clocks and Ruben Marroquin.
Refreshments will be served and Colorblends staff will be available to answer bulb questions.
The garden is open every day from dawn until dusk and the house is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day until mid-May.
