Source Coffeehouse, Bridgeport
What Makes It "Strong": The coffee at this two-year-old cozy cafe is "ethically sourced" from Passenger Coffee Roasters. Source only serves fair trade teas and sugar. Pour-overs are popular (basically a manuel brew of the best beans) as are its baked in-house goodies.
Husband and wife Owners Courtney and Matthew Hartl are all about community and using local ingredients whenever possible, including honey from Red Bee in Weston, bread from Fairfield Bread Company and milk from Connecticut farmers.
