Connecticut Ranks As Second Best State For Working Dads

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Connecticut landed in the No. 2 spot of an analysis of "2016's Best and Worst States for Working Dads," according to WalletHub.

The study — done in advance of Father's Day — considers that the labor force is made up of 93 percent of fathers with kids under age 18, said WalletHub.

Contributing factors for Connecticut's overall status include its 13th ranking for economic and social well-being and third placement for work-life balance, according to WalletHub.

The No. 1 state was Minnesota, with Vermont, Massachusetts and New Jersey coming in at three-four-five, reported WalletHub.

The five lowest states are as follows:, Nevada at 51, Alaska at 50, Virginia at 49, Mississippi at 48 and Louisiana at 47, said the report.

The report Analyzed the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia across 20 key metrics for work-life balance, health conditions, financial climate and child-rearing environment for working dads, said WalletHub.
